Hair Testing

How to order a test from us?

You can order any of our tests through this website using either your debit/credit card through Paypal or through your Paypal account.

If you do not see the answer to your question above please email us on [email protected]

What's included in my test?
Listed within your test results will be any items that have shown a positive match of 85% and over.

After performing thousands of tests, we have defined 85% to be the point at which you may experience discomfort from a catalyst. Because of this, we do not store any data that falls below the 85% threshold.

How do I take a hair sample?
1. Brush your hair upwards to reveal the root area at the back of your head.

2. Then holding a small amount of hair between your thumb and finger, cut the hair as close to the scalp as possible (without drawing blood.)

Please note: The safest way to take a hair sample is to ask someone else to assist you.

How much hair do I have to provide?
Please provide us with a small amount of hair. 3-4 individual hairs will allow us to successfully complete the test.

We do not require clumps of hair.

My hair is very short, can you still complete the tests?
Your hair sample does not have to come from your head. We can test hair from other parts of the body including leg, arm or chest.
My hair is dyed, will this affect the result?
This will not have any effect on the results of the test. The test is completed on the composition of the hair sample, so the colour will not effect this.
I have not purchased from the internet before, how can I be certain you will complete and send out the tests?
We are a verified company with Paypal, we use them as they guarantee you against internet fraud. We include our address on the Paypal receipt, email address and phone number so you can contact us if you have any concerns.
Why are your prices so low?
We save in areas such as packaging, postage and stationery and deliver your results via email to help us focus the costs into the test itself.
Is there anything additional to pay?
You are responsible for all costs associated with the carriage of your hair sample to our UK processing unit.

Please ensure the correct postage amount has been paid as we are not liable for any extra charges.

Can you do a test on my child?
To offer accurate testing, we do not test children under the age of 5 for hair testing. This is due to a child’s system changing when they are younger which can cause more adverse reactions whilst young.

Blood Allergy Testing

How do I take my blood sample?
Your sample instructions are found within your kit. You should carefully read the instructions before proceeding with your sample.
Does it hurt to take a blood test?

Your kit includes two lancets to prick your fingers, which are designed to give you a very small pinprick to start the blood flow. A finger prick doesn’t hurt, however, we do have some tips if you’re worried. Prick the sides of your fingers as the sides of your fingers have fewer nerves and more blood vessels closer to the surface. Also, if you have to use more than one lancet, try alternating which fingers you prick. This prevents one specific finger from becoming sore.

How accurate is the test?

Our IgE antibody testing has a laboratory accuracy (reproducibility) of 99.8%. We use reproducibility to test our accuracy, as this means how many times you’ll get identical results when the same blood sample is tested. If you send the same sample every day for a week, there is a 99.8% chance that the results will be the same. Our IgG4 testing runs at 94% reproducibility.

What should I do if my blood clots too quickly?
We recommend you prick your middle or index finger after a brief walk, and following running your hand under a hot tap. If the blood still clots, you can start to massage your finger from your palm of your hand downwards to stimulate more blood.
What if I don't fill all the blood spots?

Click on the 24/7 LiveChat button on our website and we will arrange for new lancets to be sent immediately. This will cause a delay in your testing process so we recommend following the instructions carefully the first time you test. In the event you find filling the spots, please read our FAQ’s here for more top tips, including where to pierce the skin, drinking water and moving more.

Can you complete the test on animals?
Unfortunately, we cannot carry out our blood on animals.
Can you take the blood test if you have a blood born disease like HIV or hepatitis?

Unfortunately we cannot accept blood samples that have any viruses.

Can the blood or hair test be carried out if you're pregnant?
For accuracy, we would not recommend a blood test as the results may be varied due to the natural changes your body will be going through. For complete accuracy, we would suggest waiting until after child birth.
Will medication affect my test results in anyway?

Unfortunately as there is a large variety in medication it may affect your samples. Antihistamines have been shown to have an affect on results, we advise stopping antihistamine use for 3-5 days before taking your sample. We would recommend you seek advice from your doctor, or a member of our dedicated Customer Services team who are available on LiveChat 24 hours a day, Monday-Friday
